Remember her very well from the ‘Secret Life of Elephants’ on the BBC, it is by all accounts not a “good or fortunate” elephant year for Africa… She will be missed by her herd and I do hope her youngest will make it even if I guess it will be a long shot in these dry times.. thank you for the updates..

Devasting news, the only consolation I suppose is that she didn’t die from poaching. Elephants are having such a hard time lately. Is the young calf being watched out for as I thought they are milk dependent until at least 2 years of age, if its sisters aren’t lactating it may not have much of a chance?
